Can't reproduce on OSX or Linux in Chrome, Firefox or Safari.. The checkbox input is always rendered slightly differently, but is always covered by the label.
I found out what the problem is. When you zoom out this happens because the label shrinks, but the checkbox hidden underneath stays the same size.
I'll try a fix.
I added an even easier fix for this now: Drop that checkbox..
Oh, did my fix not work? I thought it worked fine. Can you show me a case where it did not work? Well, I guess we might just as well drop it. I'll ask our Datenschutz- & Vereinsrechtsexperten.
It worked, I just didn't much like the glue that was needed to style this checkbox and it seems pretty useless to me. I have had dozens of forms which did not have the checkbox ticked with the old form. Our policy was to not enter them as members then. Removing this ambiguity seems better UX.
Alright. We can drop the checkbox if we have a sentence like "Mit meiner Unterschrift bestätige ich die Satzung des CCCs gelesen zu haben"
(reopened to make sure not to forget to check the wording and maybe adjust it)
The current wording is
Ich möchte Fördermitglied im Chaos Computer Club e. V. werden (unregelmäßig und selten erscheinende Datenschleuder inklusive) und habe die Satzung und FAQ gelesen.
Okay, that should be fine. We'll let the Vorstand double check the new form before releasing it.
