Update to .NET 4.8 #121

Description

The application should be updated to .NET 4.8 for security and stability purposes, and to support the newest version of visual studio IDE.

Notes

This is a non-passive change that is going to likely introduce some issues with the existing functionality, namely the Current tab retrieval functionality. Another issue will have to be logged in order to address and solve this issue before the next version release.
