When comparing ntpviz-graphs for the current kernel with 4.19.118 32-bit userland, you see many more spikes on offset and jitter etc. – One reason seems to be that governor=performance might work differently on 5.x, if at all, and force_turbo=1 does not help either.

When switching back tp 4.9.118 32-bit userland, everything's perfect again...
