Inventory management lag? #773

Open Lme999 opened 10 years ago

I've been talking to my server host for around a day about this, and we finally came down to that it seems to be LWC causing this:

About half or more, of the players on my server are having lag, upon moving items around in there inventory, shift-clicking, crafting etc.. resulting in loss of items and many inv glitches, once again I'm not sure if LWC is the thing causing this, but I ran my server without LWC and tested it, and the player who tested it, said it worked fine.

There are no error reports or anything... So.

I have noticed this bad well I currently don't have a big player base due to map wipe but with spigot timings I have noticed an where from 4 to 10% increase to the inventory control threads I'm on mobile so I can't get exact timings Atm when I get home I will. I also can confirm the once lwc is removed thread tick drops to normal. Just on a note I currently have 70 plugs yea.... I am performance tweaking and sorta so I might just clogging the thread but I will fill what info I can when I get home

Yeah, I have around 60 plug-ins, went through each one, until I saw LWC reduced and seemed to fix the problem when removed. I have a normal player base from 10 - 30 players, a little more then half have reported the problem.

Are you using the latest build from Jenkins or dbo? If the latter, update to the latest Jenkins build to see if you still have any issues as it has many changes compared to the dbo one. On Jan 3, 2014 2:13 PM, "lme99" notifications@github.com wrote:

Dbo? I take that as meaning Dev bukkit downloads. I was using the latest dev build from Jenkins, build #911 from Jan 1st And it still lagged.

stevewall85 commented 10 years ago

Im sorry i didnt get back last night but i was on build 902 and upgraded to 911 and with current timings report everything is happy i just have nto opened to people on the server yet but i will let you know if anything else lags out. thanks for your help and here the timings incase of http://aikar.co/timings.php?url=6691095

Lme999 commented 10 years ago

Yeah, I'm running and have been running build #911 and people are still reporting problems with it.

stevewall85 commented 10 years ago

well for your problem it might help if you can get maybe a plugin list and or timings with the amount of plugins we have there could be a plug thats conflicting or hogging a thread so more info about your server the easier it might be to help find a conflict

Lme999 commented 10 years ago

How? I'm not sure how to do something like that, do you have skype or something we could talk about it on?

stevewall85 commented 10 years ago

i cant talk on skype atm im in the middle of preparing for a flight but in your server console you do /version that with tell you what you are running which is most likely craftbukkit, i myself run spigot its a advanced user tweaked with alot more performance in certain areas. i believe bukkit has timings to use /timings paste and should give you a weblink if not use /timings merge and in your main server files you will see a timings folder. it takes time to read those and understand them. Also you might have world guard you can do /wg report and in its plugin folder with give you a full list of what the server is and has to offer which i like the best these days. I hope this helps you out a bit if not google is your friend

Lme999 commented 10 years ago

I run Spigot too, currently using the latest dev build of it, released on Jan 3rd.

spetznack commented 10 years ago

Not sure if the latest LWC version at dev.bukkit (released over 6 months ago) is the latest working version. I would try out the latest development versions of LWC, you can find them here: http://ci.griefcraft.com/job/LWC/

Lme999 commented 10 years ago

As I stated above, I am using that version.

spetznack commented 10 years ago

My bad, I read wrong. I am in the process of updating my server now, I'll come back to this if I experience the same after the update. :)

Still having issues... :/
