Fix bug with UTF-8 in task list #6

When using multibyte utf characters in the task-list, sometimes the inscription "Invalid text" appears instead of the normal content. This small patch fixes this problem.

sorry i havent noticed that there were pull requests and issues posted, been busy irl. merging this now. cheers it has been bugging me too
