I'll test with my voicemail.
I defined for one contact of my address book a new web site with :
sip:**1@freephonie.net

When I select this, it works normally, i.e. Siphon start and call my voicemail.

Could you describe your problem with more details?

I didn't use web site but number (home, work...)
with the iphone contact.app the . : @ disapear on the screen (ex
sip:xxxx@yyyy.net is
displayed sipxxxxyyyynet (it's not the case in the mac contact.app)
but they are in the data : Fring show the string with all the caracters and
it's work
with fring when I use this type of contact.

I will try to put this contact in website to see if it works

I don't think you idea is a good solution. Because when you change of sip
provider
you will need to change all your contact.
Siphon use phone number like gsm and add informations (scheme and server). Like
that
the phone number work in all cases.

Normally I don't have to change the contact. If my friend has a SIP number
sip:xxxx@yyyy.net and if the SIP standard is respected, I can call him even if I
haven't the same provider than him.

Free stops IP to other IP provider calls and don't respect Sip Standard
But it seems that with asterisks and
http://www.e164.org/ which is an enum service, you can call free from an IP
provider
to another IP provider.

If I use web site for sip contact as you suggest, when I call with frings this
type
of contact, it opens safari ! So, I can't use this solution.
