Hi @petrklus,
TBH, we don't know the coverage percentage of this list.
When we had started to this project, there wasn't a global list of universities in a machine-readable format. There is a good chance that this situation is changed and it might be a good idea to check alternative sources to compare our coverage.
I think a possible approach might be to generate a list that contains the number of universities per country. This way, volunteers might check official government resources and compare the numbers and find the coverage ratio for that country.
Let us know if you are willing to get involved in this difficult (but fun) process :)
Hello, Great job!
@yigitguler you might find this link useful! https://whed.net/home.php
It contains a map with the number of universities (public and private) per country! And the most important is that you can click on each country and see the list of them.
At the footer, it is mentioned that this database was updated at September 2019! Checking the accuracy of the data (by looking the list of my country), I can tell that it misses some latest changes, but it is generally good.
Hi,
First of all, thank you very much for your efforts with this project!
Would it be possible to get information about proposed completeness of the data? Is there any roadmap/coverage plan that would outline what is known to be missing and what areas are work in progress?
