sounds great, would work better with swing combat
This is awesome and should also constantly play hotline miami-esque music. Though like zamol said this is only really feasible with swing combat put in place first but then this will work amazingly. It would probably be better to make it so you take 4x damage but they take something like 6x damage so that your tc is less wasted, as the strategic value to getting this would be questionable otherwise
I'd suggest making masks a choice since some of us with lower ping are basically cucked if they get the melee mask. Also, it'd be fun to have all masks be impossible to take off.
+1 looks good as is, agree with giving the player choice of mask, especially for 20 TC
Do you like griefing other people? +1

What is this Kit? The Hotline Miami masks are part of a 20TC traitor kit that when bought will give you one random mask out of six available and a syndicate brand jacket. Every mask makes you deal 4x damage while equipped, however you yourself will also take 4x normal damage. In addition to the damage bonus each mask gives you an increase in speed while worn and each has a random unique effect. For example the owl mask gives you thermal vision, pig mask takes slightly less damage, tiger mask doesn't let you use guns but increases your damage. Also you have a permanent drug effect while wearing the mask to really incite that aesthetic.
Where does it get its inspirations The entire traitor kit is based upon Hotline Miami's mechanics. If you haven't heard of Hotline Miami or don't know much about it, it's a fast paced top down game where you run and gun murdering people mercilessly at mach speed. Everyone dies in 2-3 hits including yourself. You unlock masks throughout the game that give you unique effects like taking more damage before you die or only being able to use your fists but you deal more damage or you throw weapons harder. The entirety of the kit is trying to take the chaotic nature of Hotline Miami and implement in SS13, where chaos and the such are no stranger.
Why should I care? More traitor variety is always fun, the item is risk reward. You kill people almost instantly but on the flip side you get killed almost instantly. It rewards skill and is thematically appropriate with SS13's retro future style. More importantly who doesn't want to cosplay as Jacket on an autistic 2d spaceman game.
What does it need to be done? I've already got the sprites ready and just need a coder or two to help implement the items as I am inept at coding. It's not a priority issue by any means and is moreover for some one who would have shared interest in this project, as I don't want to take away resources from more important issues or pull some one who doesn't give a fuck.
If you're interested and want to know more about the project just ping me or pm on discord @alexslayer30 and I'll be happy to help.
