Some fightstick users prefer the feel and tension options of the Seimitsu LS40 over the Sanwa JLF. Investigate what it would take to support this joystick and experiment with it, in case users are interested.
"ls-40" branch contains changes I've been playing around with.
Yesterday I got a working ls-40 prototype.
Pros:
Extremely stable sensor readings. No jitter whatsoever.
Shorter throw.
Less wiggling in neutral position.
Less snapback when releasing the joystick to neutral position.
Cons:
Rotating the joystick still affects the sensor readings more than I'd like. This doesn't appear to be worse than the JLF, though. To combat this, I'm going to try using the Seimitsu Nobi lever next, which uses the same bottom plates as the ls-40. The Nobi is unique because its joystick shaft cannot rotate.
