It's been quite a while since this issue and the corresponding pull request is made! I'll check it out later and I'll probably add an option to bot to enable or disable this.
I've actually tried to do a sketch of this issue in 61f53cc. There might be some instabilities because I had to manually escape markdowns. Feel free to open another issue if you find another bug!
Posts created by the bot lack any sort of pointers to the original content. Once sent or forwarded, and with the poor state of Reddit search, it is almost impossible to trace the post on Reddit (for any reason).
Below is an ideal example by Twitter Media Downloader, where post caption and link to the original post as well as bot ID are included.
Another Reddit bot on Telegram is Media Down Bot, which I believe is made by the same person responsible for the Twitter bot. (It’s not without flaws, however. It uses an intermediary to fetch Reddit content, and by doing so, it doesn’t include video qualities higher than 480p as well as videos larger than 50 MB.)
Following the same style (having title, post link, and bot ID in separate paragraphs) will improve the user experience tenfold. Your bot is already the best option for downloading Reddit content; it’s faster and more responsive. Fixing these shortcomings will go a long way.
Please also note that Reddit posts with multiple images will not include titles, which is unfortunate because most of them rely on the title to convey the context. If you can fix this as well, it’ll be fantastic.
By the way, thank you for all your hard work. I have yet to find a better Reddit bot on Telegram. Keep up the good work.
