Is the USIM authentication the reason for the system privilege requirement? #1

The README says:

For this demo App to function properly, you will need system privilege.

The reason for this seems to be the USIM authentication, right?

The system privilege would also be needed for the single IMS registration, but it can't be for that, since this app implements RCS by itself?
