SERVER: How do we transmit the state of a GUI from one client machine to another? #63

Some GUI state elements are transmittable to another machine, while others are device-dependent. This could be perspectives, views, sizes, positions and other preferences. Also the question of mapping directory paths between clients. This could be an "Export" function
