Error reading FRUS EPUB on Windows 10 ePUB3 reader #252

From a reader via the history-ebooks mailbox:

Your e-reader: ePUB3 reader

Volume: Foreign Relations of the United States, 1948, Volume IX, The Western Hemisphere

Comments: Tried to open the above volume on my reader (Windows 10 operating system), but when I click on a document [in my case ‘air transport agreement with Chile’], I get a message (in Dutch, which surprised me) saying ‘Navigation to the web page has been annulled’, followed by ‘Possible actions:’ (without any actual suggestions being made).

I checked the online edition of this chapter, https://history.state.gov/historicaldocuments/frus1948v09/ch33, and found there is no problem with the online edition. I also downloaded the EPUB and Mobipocket versions, and tried to navigate to this chapter with iBooks and Kindle (macOS), and had no problem. So the problem seems limited to this user's "ePUB3 reader" running on Windows 10.

I inquired further about which e-reader client was used and the user responded:

I downloaded this ePUB3 reader from the Windows App Store of recommended (third party) applications. I chose this one for no particular reason, other than that it looked more sober and businesslike than some of the other options that had like cartoon figures in their store button.

We don't have a Windows 10 machine to test this on. @HistoryAtState/existsolutions: do any of you have one?

Another approach would be to recommend an EPUB reader for Windows 10 that works well.

I searched a bit for reviews of epub readers on Windows 10, and one called Freda was called "the best non-DRM ePUB book reader on the Windows Store" [1]. It also received a nice review on goodreads [2]. If anyone has WIndows 10, could you please download Freda [3] and try loading volume and navigating to the chapter in question?
