Accounting 0000 as an year #6

I entered the year "0000" and this is what i got, i got kicked out of the application entirely:

Thanks for the catch, however, we decided the severity to be low as a user would not accidentally put 0000 as the year in the date.

Reason for disagreement: Yes not by accident but come on, your application broke and the user was kicked out of the application entirely. I agree that this is a simple exception that is not handled but I think the consequence is quite bad...There is no restriction in choosing 0000 as the year how do you know no one will?
