Implementing new file system for improved downloads from dashcam to phone while app is in background.

Internal tests are showing a lot of promise with improved downloads from dashcam to phone in foreground and background.

Bg downloads from dashcam have been improved on Android (app version 4.99) and currently WIP with iOS. Testing new build next week with expected release on Jan 31.

Android background downloads working well.

iOS facing OS level restrictions. Recommend users bring app to foreground every 5-15 minutes to keep Hivemapper processes running on device.

We're continuing to explore options for iOS but this is a tricky operating system level problem.

Still looking into longer term fixes, but...

If your light on the dashcam goes red while dashcam is in background - don't fear. This means your phone has temporarily been disconnected from the camera but it doesn't mean that your dashcam stopped recording. When you reconnect your phone to the device you should see the download queue shoot up and quickly catch up to your current mapping location. If you don't mind seeing the red light on your camera, you could let this run for 10-15 minutes without any problems, so long as you also open the app back up and let it catch up.
