Sorting wise the most relevant information on the Regions Menu is the number of contributors per Region, I want to suggest having the default sorting be the number of contributors from High to Low (High at the Top). This is good because it clearly shows which regions are growing the fastest. Right now it appears to be semi-random.

Current default is sorting by progress. I can see an argument for sorting by something else. Leaving this in ideas for now until we have a chance to revisit regions explorer design in more depth.
