Hi Sebastian,
Thank you for the bug report! I am having trouble reproducing this, so I am
wondering if it is related to the
locale--I assume you are using a German G1?
Can you kindly answer the following question?
- After importing using the GMaps link, do you see the cache ID and coordinates
in GeoBeagle?
- What exactly are the coordinates? (I need to know if GeoBeagle is using a
"," or a "." as a decimal separator.
- After clicking Edit, does the latitude/longitude display with "," or "." as
the separator? If it's a "," can you try
changing it to "." to see if that works better?
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,
yes, I have the german Version of the T-Mobile G1.
but about your questions:
1. I see the ID, but no name. But when I switch to Map, the cachename is shown
on the
bubble pointing to the position.
2. The decimal separator, it shows me is show with "." as separator. When I
change to
"," it saves the point.
3. also "." in the edit screen.
I tried a little bit. When I change to separator "," it saves the point. But
when I
go to the offline list I don't see all my caches (also the a minute before saved
cache is gone) and it tells me "showing 1 nearest caches out of 10 total".
Obviously
the total seems to be correct (increase by one when saving a new point with
separator
"," - with separator "." the total count stays the same).
When I now at the moment go to my offline list, I only see 1 cache (out off 11
menwhile). I wait for the timed-off .... wait ... and after turning on again, I
see
three caches. This works sometimes, sometimes not. But I cannot see all my 11
caches,
only x out of 11.
*confused*
Obviously a cache save with the same ID overwrites a existing other one.
Wouldnt it
be wise to ask if to rename ("ID"_1;"ID_2" ...) or to overwrite?
Hope this helps to solve the problem.
kind regards
Sebastian

hmm, what is the id of the cache you are importing?

Hi,
with ID I mean the geocaching.org ID of the cache I imported.
GCRWM4 for

Only the *closest* caches are shown, so depending on where you are you might
see more or less caches.
The name of the cache is not exported when you click on "Google Maps" which is
why you can't see it in
GeoBeagle. We are working on support LOC import, which would give you the
name. You can also import GPX
files if you have a paid subscription, which will also give you the cache name.
I will email you some screenshots when I get a chance to show what should
happen during an edit save
operation.

on comment 6:
1.
I think there has to be a possibility to see ALL caches and not only the
nearest.
Otherwise I dont have the chance to edit or delete a cache from my list without
travelling to it ;).
2.
When I click in Geobeagle on the mapview the cache is shown with a small flag
named
with the caches name properly.

Sebastian, are you still having a problem with saving?

Hi!
I had the same problem today, also on a german T-Mobile G1.
I imported a Cache ID, and everything was shown correctly (Coords, Target, ID).
I
added a name to the ID via the edit function and that also was shown after
hitting
the SAVE button.
It was a Cache on a more distant location, so it first did not show up in the
offline list. After switching to "Show all caches", the ID was shown again, but
the
title I added was missing.
I tried to add a title in all variations (i.e. the keypad and the on-screen
keypad,
horizontal and vertical mode) - always the same. In some cases, it seemed, that
even
opening and closing the keypad, and therfore switching the horizontal/vertical
display led to the problem of the disappearing title entry.
What finally helped was the following:
I added the title and directly switched to the "desktop", leaving the Geobeagle
application. After starting Geobeagle again, everything is still there, so the
title
seems to be saved permanently.
Could it be a saving problem during the program execution? Or maybe a caching
problem of the offline list? Just ideas...
Anyway, the workaround seems to help by now. Just have to keep it in mind :-)
TFTP ;-) (thx 4 the program)
Greetz,
Ralf.
