Why adding service layer on top of the repo ? and if i want to convert this to modular monolithic application how it should be done? these are not issue's i just want some clarification

Repositories typically handle data access and persistence logic.
A read service can abstract away the complexities of data retrieval. It can provide a simplified interface for fetching data, allowing clients to interact with the data without needing to understand the intricacies of the underlying data access layer.
Here I'm using Repositories for commands and read services for queries.
