OSD overlay disappear when video glitches on CCD camera #87

I'm using come 600tvl camera (can't remember exact model), on boot I can't get
OSD to display I need to press the reset button on the OSD to get display, when
I start flying I get some glitches on video (low signal) that will cause my OSD
overlay to disappear only way to restore it are to press the reset button which
is impossible as the plane are on air :p

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Happen every time video signal lost/glitches
2. Swapped 3 different type of camera same results
3. Changing Mode (from stabilize to loiter) also will make the overlay Disappear
4. It does not happen when the OSD is connected to GoPro/Mobius only CCD camera
5. camera are PAL

I'm using MinimOSD-Extra_Plane_Pre-release_2.4_r719, flashed the OSD using
Windows 7 64 bit

Thanks

Hello

I'v tryed to debug this with hardware - because to software it looks too random.
I'v found that Voltage regulator on V2.0 board really sucks. My first board get
only 3.9V from it (not working at all- shadows and hazzy OSD), second one 4.5V
...I'v switched to 5.3V from APM PM with shottky diode with 0.3V drop. Then my
OSD become rock solid. Check your regulator voltages please

Hi, I'll do that, thanks. But I don't know where the regulator is located and
how it does look like... Any hint?

Have this isuue on all of my 3 OSDs. They all different versions 1.0, 1.1, 2.0.
All have that. I've tried different schemes of powering them and different
firmwares (even Rushduino for MultiWii). It does not solves the problem.
Voltage measurements shows acceptable voltage on MAX7456. Issue appears more
frequent if board is cooled to near zero or colder temperature. I think the
problem is not in ATMega. Because there is signal on it's outputs visible with
oscilloscope. Something happens with MAX7456

Same problem here.

I had no problems with arducam-osd. I did not change my setup.
