[Rog ally non-E joysticks & buttons not working] #30

Your Issue:

no buttons or joysticks are working.

cant use joysticks or anything inside of steam or playing games trough steam with steaminput.

CPU: *CPU: AMD Ryzen Z1 (12) @ 4.976GHz*
GPU: *Device-1: AMD Phoenix2 driver: amdgpu v: kernel*

Installer used to install?

holoiso_beta_snapshot20240325.1158.39-InstallerBuild-20240401131732-x86_64.iso

OS version (/etc/holoiso-release):

*OS_TAG=snapshot20240402.1329.13*

(Only for SteamOS Session loading issues) Have you tried launching gamescope-session from terminal? If yes, provide a log.

Got UTF-8 falling back to C errors with gamescope, and a few wayland broken pipe.
 But I only tried to launch it without a game.
Launching a game with gamescope in desktop game me a windowed game,
 but still no inputs are registering outside of keyboard & mouse.

Did it work before?

I have no idea, installed today for first time.

What I have tested


In desktop i downloaded supertux and the joysticks and buttons works there without steam.

But none of the 3 games I launched via steam could be played using the rog ally controllers.

Trying to go into calibration does not work eather but more like im sometimes mashing buttons or that it laggs.

So I use toutch screen just to get out of steam I updated everything with beta channel.

Its registering as a xbox 360 controller too.

no errors in dmesg and there is these two usb devices
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 045e:028e Microsoft Corp. Xbox360 Controller
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0b05:1abe ASUSTek Computer, Inc. N-KEY Device

But there is where my knowledge stops.
Now in desktop it says 'No controller detected'

Running steam from Terminal in desktop and controller works..  I have no idea why.
Suddenly everything is working I dont know why. It was reseting to broken state during night.

I used this https://github.com/hhd-dev/hhd , then it remapped into PS controller, 
Holding armory create goes into mouse mode. Now it seems to be working good.
