I also submitted #120540 to upgrade the cask in this repo.
@Homebrew/brew is this a brew or cask issue?
It's an issue of an external tap choosing a name that conflicts with one in the main cask repo.
Still, it would be nice if brew
didn't get confused by this. But I view this as nice-to-have rather than essential.
Yeah, not much can be done in cask
repo. At best, can be improved in brew
code.

I installed
1password-cli 2.0.0
withbrew install --cask 1password/tap/1password-cli
. When I then ranbrew upgrade
, I found that Homebrew downgraded1password-cli
to versionv1.12.4
despite the tapped version being newer.It's not clear to me if the issue is:
1passwrod-cli
was installed from a tapCommand that failed
brew upgrade
