DAVical is (newly?) listed as a brew package.
Where is it listed?
Hello SMillerDev, thanks for asking. -- I'm using Cakebrew.app on macOS 10.14.2, though I often install via "$ brew install fillintheblank" -- Davical comes up as one of the Cakebrew uninstalled formulae. The URL under "get info" https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-core/blob/master/Formula/davical.rb points to a blank spot on GitHub.
"brew info" via terminal yields:
[1:43pm dgetzin~]%brew info davical davical: stable 1.1.7 Not installed From: https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-core/blob/master/Formula/davical.rb
and not that it is terribly informative, but:
[1:45pm dgetzin~]%brew search davical ==> Formulae davical [1:47pm dgetzin~]%
Screenshot is below of the situation in the GIU wrapper.
Thanks in advance, I hope we can progress this from here.
That seems like an issue with cakebrew since homebrew doesn't have that file/formula. Maybe an update will help? Either way I'm closing this as it's not a homebrew issue.
General troubleshooting steps
--force
.brew update-reset && brew update
and retried my command.brew doctor
, fixed as many issues as possible and retried my command.Description of issue
DAVical is (newly?) listed as a brew package. It will not install. When I "get more info" the git repository it points me to:
https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-core/blob/master/Formula/davical.rb
is null and there is a 404 error.
The package will not install, details are below. It is not clear that Homebrew for Mac OS has fully implemented this package yet as "awl" should be listed as a dependancy and it is not, and awl is not in the package brew repository.
How can I help out to make this happen? DAVical is a REALLY powerful package to get a CardDAV and CalDAV verver integrated into a Postgress database, which is HUGE for CRMs office, small business use and web sites.
Let's get this going, what are our next steps?
Thanks in advance, I look forward to hearing from everyone.
