Please provide more information.
Please explain which roaming you activated.
Do you have 2g without roaming?
Are you sure it's not roaming? Please force the connect to a network. Does it
work?
Was it working in any previous version?
Does it work in official 2.2?

Actually I think the problem is that the R is missing from the GSM signal icon.
Is this R for Roaming? I did have the R in the original rom, but it was there
in the 6.3-rc7.
I did have no problems with it. It works here in the Netherlands (Telfort) fine
with roaming.

I mean the R did NOT show up in the icon in 6.3-rc7. Sorry.

Hi!
My issue is that I have to activate roaming (wirelsess&networks/mobile
networks/international data roaming) to get access to data transfer in 3G
network, in 2G network I don't need the roaming. My APN is Tele2 SE
(internet.tele2.se). The SIM-card is from Tele2 and I am in the home network in
Sweden, so roaming should not be needed. In android 1.5 I did not have to
activate roaming and the "R" was not showing in the signal strength icon.
I have not have the possibility to test the function with any other official
2.2 android mobile phone.
Btw, a new question is why does not internet sharing (Tethering) via Wireless
connection works with the LG GW620?

I've had this with Tele2 with every single ROM I've tried on the phone,
including the one that was delivered on the phone. An older bug had a comment
by someone believing it could have something to do with the Tele2 network being
shared with Comviq.

I can not remember I hade the same problem with android 1.5, but I tested a
Telia SE SIM-card and the "R" was gone and I could connect to 3G-data. So
probably only a bug with Tele2Comviq

So, is this a bug with the software or the operator?
This might be normal behavior.
