really nice... you should try and get this merged with openEtna! why should we
keep two different projects with the same end? I'm sure Polytheus would give
you commit permissions... why did you start with 2.6.32 and not 2.6.35?

Hi.
That backlight patch is not complete.
There were more commits about it.
Nice job. It would be nice if you tried to merge this into OpenEtna. :)

trmfreitas // yes I know about that. I will applied the others soon. thanks for
your works~
giorgio130 // I just started this project to enhance the offical LG kernel with
less efforts.
many users do not want to switch to unofficial custom firmware.
and KH5200/GW620 already has a good Camera app. that's why I started this
personal project.
----
I noticed almost all patch sets will be cleanly merged from OpenEtna-froyo to
Gingerbread soon.
and I just want to show/notice this good result to OpenEtna project :)

Original comment by mezmeriz...@gmail.com

@mezmeriz: the benchmark wkp is whowing here was made with the CPU running at
710MHz so if you wanne comparte with the current openEtna-Version you have to
overclock the CPU (e.g. with setcpu)...
Original comment by frankmai...@gmail.com

[deleted comment]
are there also issues in your version with overclocking like in openetna? For
example: when i overclock my phone and lock it, it doesn't response when i
press the unlock button... i would really like to try your version ;)
Original comment by mezmeriz...@gmail.com

Me too i would like to try your version, will you provide your images files ?
Original comment by wassimd...@gmail.com

almost all issues are same as OpenEtna
a Overclock patch was imported from OpenEtna and slightly modified
for official LG 2.6.32.9 kernel.
http://dev.naver.com/scm/viewvc.php/?root=openeve&view=rev&revision=7
someone said it bricks his phone and others said it works fine
so I set the maximum cpu freq as 629MHz
----
and this is under development and It will be available soon I think..
and I will try to push this patch sets to OpenEtna as soon as possible

Hi Guys,
Its great to see you working for Porting GB in GW620. All the best for your
work.
I am very much interested in seeing EVE running GB.
Many like me are waiting. Complete it As soon as possible and release it.

well in my eyes this image / Gingerbread patch is fake. Since more than 2 weeks
no release, no updates not a tiny bit of Progress Informations.

I don`t think so. I`ve check diff file, and it seems plausible and correct.
Kernel from svn also corretly building, I already tried and got zImage.
I think, just not everyone can compile android from source. And many of us does
not have enough time (or free Linux machine with fast internet access, cyanogen
GB source is really large) for it.
If i been not so busy, I make try to compile android from cyanogen repo with
Won-Kyu Park patches.

simply polytheus has started working now, and besides him, the committers are
just 3 I think: raburton that fixed some gps stuff, trmfreitas that committed
something a while ago (I don't remember what) and me (giorgio130 on github, I
did something on camera, new kernel, 3d support...). I personally got an htc
hd2, so I don't think I'll do something else ever... maybe just for fun, but I
don't think so.
Someone instead of using the patch could just start from his source:

3. recovery img
4. ddms File Explorer (toolbox *.mk fix)
5. libaudio patch cleanup
6. bionic patch (libgcc_compat.c fix for ulcmp)
7. enable recovery img.
may not useful for OpenEtna
1. vibrator/vibrator.c

CAUTION:
Wi-fi doesn't work for everyone. I'm not sure why. It's been suggested on the
forums that it might have to do with which boot img is already installed on the
device when you follow the installation instructions. All I know is I can't
start wi-fi, it says failed to load wi-fi driver. :(
Original comment by grant.bo...@gmail.com

2gel // Video recording only work with low-resolution
grant.bo // system.img has older kernel modules. so you have to flash
system.img first then install boot*zip under the recovery mode using the
gb-recovery.img (or with the rarecovery.img)

3D rendering does not work with the Neocore or Quadrant advanced / professional
etc.
Its known issue with the CyanogenMod7.0 gingerbread.
but with latest Quadrant standard it works fine.

Instaling gapps on OpenEVE (by gelios)
1. Download gapps from http://goo-inside.me/gapps/latest/7/universal/ , put
them on SD card.
2. Turn in fastboot
3. Load in Clockwork Recovery (gb-recovery.img)
4. Choose "mounts and storage"
5. Choose "mount /system"
6. Choose "mount /data"
7. Back to main menu
8. Choose "install zip from sdcard", then "choose zip from sdcard", choose zip
with gapps, choose "yes"
9. Back to main menu
10. Choose "power off"
11. Turn off USB, insert battery, turn on phone.
12. Finish =)
This gapps contain only base programs, apps like Maps, Gmail, Youtube will be
downloaded from Market (you will choose them in master of installation).
