the purpose of this change is to aggregate the largest observations together in a single group (by OC). Sometimes the data pull from taxonomy provides inconsistent orderings of observations, so the aggregation may group different sets of observations together. It's not a bug but it's a little weird. No need to rerun models at the moment.
