Savegame/Highscore -> Start Problem with HagarTheHorrible_v1.0_De.lha - no second gameplay possible #128

The problem is similar to the before mentioned problems of issues #126 #127

The game can be played until you are good enough to get an entry in the highscore list. When you do so a file is created in: /opt/retropie/configs/amiga/amiberry/whdboot/save-data/Savegames

And this file leads to the problem that you can't play the game a second time.

When you delete the Savegames-Hagar-folder/file you can start and play as before. Excurs: I saw that also for the games of #126 #127 files were created in the same path, and these files are leading to the error 63 problems.

In my test 2 setups have this problem: Amiberry 5.6.6 and 5.6.8 Amiberry 3.0.11 works fine with writing and using the Highsore-file and going on with the game or starting again.

Tested with: stretch + RePi 4.5.11 + Amiberry 3.0.11 buster + RePi 4.8.6 + Amiberry 5.6.6 buster + RePi 4.8.6 + Amiberry 5.6.8

Sorry, the links are partly wrong above. They should be #126 and #127

Sounds like an issue with loading the file on the WHDLoad slave itself - it cannot relate to the xml builider.

i would suggest testing it on fs-uae or winuae and reporting it up to WHDLoad via the mantis bug tracker

I guess it will also be solved with the release of WHDLoad v19 like issue #126 and #127, because it's also about the creation of a file in /whdboot/save-data/Savegames.

I found a perfect workaround for the problem: I copied the folder/file "HagarTheHorribleDe/Disk.1" from my older build to my current build and it works like a charm. The problem file Disk.1 has in the current setup of WHDLoad 0 kb and in the older working build 880 kb.

After I copied it to my new build I played and saved a new highscore to see if the file will fall back to 0 kb because of a creation error or if it gets updated keeping the size of 880 kb. And lo and behold, it gets only updated and the game keeps on running.
