🐛[BUG][Launcher] - Closing / game won't play #1913

What does this bug affect? Game closes when trying to launch.

Steps to Reproduce Open launcher > click play > text box opens up with confirmations of resolving hosts, connected to server, etc, then Closing in red text.

Expected behavior Game should open.

Additional context I saw there is a FAQ about the Closing message on their website. I changed the resolution, uninstalled, reinstalled (on the C: drive), reset my computer etc. Nothing is working.

just to shime in, i have the same bug as you, just with an added "Failed to bind to listening socket" on top of it. Did you get it fixed already, or do you still wait for a bugfix?

The bug can be fixed via installing DirectPlay. for some reason it didnt notify me to do so, so i did it manually. game opens now - but i might have a hanging session right now, so i wasnt able to go much further yet.

if you have more issues please let me know, also make sure you have root / admin privileges on your pc, you may be restricted from binding and listening on a port, closing for now
