"Uncaught illegal access" error breaks author field in Chrome

I have no idea how I caused this, and can't manage to reproduce it, but here's a screenshot of the broken authors field:

It's broken in Chrome, but seems to be working fine in Firefox. Other articles, even without authors added, don't have the same issue. I think it might have something to do with an author failing to properly get attached to an article, but there's no corresponding authorship in the database. Maybe a weird character?
