Yes, it has been closed since I switched titles. “OVRdrop” itself was never open source.
That's disappointing, but thanks for the response. And no plans to open source it I assume? I understand you're likely worried about people stealing it, but that isn't necessarily a big issue. Take Borderless Gaming for example. That's open source on GitHub, but also available for sale on Steam, and many people buy it and recommend it to others.
I do have plans to go back Open Source in the future, though it would likely not be until "OVRdrop 2" (a potential future upgrade to OVRdrop), where I'm hoping to drop Unity entirely -- although this is a big task as Unity handles most of the translation/rotation math, as well as rendering and the like.
The OVRdrop 1 code base is in a pretty sad state (little to no commenting, UX spaghetti code, etc) and I'm not ready for public auditing at this time. I've been working a lot recently to get the OVRdrop 1 code presentable, so perhaps returning to Open Source is closer than I expect.
See the title. I understand it's switched to paid software now, but that doesn't mean it can't still be open source. I'm one of those types that prefers to avoid closed source software as much as possible, so... Any information on this? Thanks.
