Is there any news on this?
I find installing RaySession to be very annoying - I've done it three times(over the last few years), and in my latest Linux install I waited literally months before attempting to do it, because it's just so clunky with all the various python packages - especially now with the fork of liblo that's not a part of package managers (at least not OpenSuse Tumbleweed).
In fact, I didn't actually succeed at installing it when I tried to do it just now - pipx install pyliblo3
errors out everytime (pip install pyliblo3
causes "error: externally-managed-environment [...]. may be easiest to use pipx install..
" hence pipx
vs pip
(no idea what the difference between those is; Not a Python developer).
I've practically stopped installing apps on Linux that doesn't support Flatpak because of this (Haven't installed any in months, and I now got a reminder as to why..), so would be very nice to have RaySession installable through it!
I realize this is pure skill-issue, but I don't feel like Python proficiency should be a prerequisite for running something like this.
Hi @KennethHoff Alternatively, could you ask the OpenSuse packages developpers to make one for RaySession?
@Houston4444 any news?
Hi. Sorry to say that, but the simple answer is, I won't do this work myself ! RaySession is packaged for many distributions (Librazik, Ubuntu, ArchLinux (pro-audio), Fedora...). I have strictly no interest for Flatpak, but if someone do the work, it will be appreciate of course.
Would be neat to have Flatpak and Snap support!
