When I attempt to save any file in an administrator location, I do get a UAC prompt for NppAdminAccess.exe, which I allow. However, it seems unable to save the file, and gives me the typical "Save failed" warning from the main application.
If I open Notepad++ as Administrator, the same file saves just fine.
I've tried this both in the C:\Windows folder, and the C:\Program Files (x86) folder, and both with files that already exist and files that were to be created.
It just seems like the NppAdminAccess.exe fails to save.
Nevermind. I should have checked my security software first. My anti-ransomware from Malwarebytes is causing the problem. I had to add the NppAdminAccess.exe file as an exception.
