themes and tags #478

Closed thomaszahr closed 7 years ago

Hi,

currently I'm using UNO. How do I get a list of the tags used onto the sidebar? Or is there another theme that provides navigation from a global tag list?

Hunting through the issues did not solve my "problem". Btw. the UNO-FAQ link to your site is broken.

jaredmorgs commented 7 years ago

Which FAQ link is that @thomaszahr ?

Sorry, @thomaszahr I meant where is the broken link to the UNO theme in the HubPress docs or website?

jsiu22 commented 7 years ago

Don't wanna derail, quick question. Do all Ghost themes work for HubPress?

thomaszahr commented 7 years ago

In the description of the uno theme. /themes/UNO/readied.md

Anyway, the question is how can I get a selection of tags onto the sidebar?

@thomaszahr

Actually you can't sorry

thomaszahr commented 7 years ago

Pity

jaredmorgs commented 7 years ago

@jsiu22 You can convert Ghost themes to work with HubPress, but it is far from intuitive.

https://hubpress.gitbooks.io/hubpress-knowledgebase/content/theme/develop_themes.html gives you the basic idea, but this will be changing as development for 0.7.0 moves forward.

My advice would be to wait for a bit. ;)

Ahh ok thank's for the info. I hope to be a long term user so keep up the good work! Maybe someday when I have more time and you open up the development I can contribute!

For now you have my gratitude.

I'm going to close this one off. Not because it isn't a valid issue, but because the direction of customising themes will likely change away from customising the themes inside the forked repo and move to a more modular approach.
