If your or the other person in this situation were using Safari, there are known issues with Safari at the moment. If Safari wasn't involved, we'll have to investigate a bit further.
Just heard back from the other person. We were both on Windows, I was in Chrome and she was in Firefox.
@gfodor is this likely symptomatic of the issue that was fixed w/ adding TURN?
can this still be reproduced?
I haven't done any large meetups since the switch to MediaSoup, so it's hard to say.
The problem was intermittent enough that it's difficult to pin down.

@emstanley Not sure if we should keep this opened. This was happening with the Janus implementation and we have similar issues opened so I don't feel we are missing out if closing this one.
This is a very strange problem.
We had about 20 people in a space, and I found one person couldn't hear me at all. I could hear them, and other people standing nearby could hear both of us. They got her to check my volume using the menu, and it looked fine.
She couldn't see any lipsync on my avatar either, so it's as if the audio stream wasn't being sent to her or it was being muted internally on her end for some reason.
