This issue is to track general issues related to teleporting that we have discussed at various times.
Feel free to separate any of these into their own issues as needed.
In no particular order:
Teleport arc is not very intuitive when aiming at surfaces above or below your current position.
Teleporting is extremely finicky when aiming at platforms above your current position. This may be due to the arc having a fixed length.
No way to cancel a teleport other than aiming at an invalid location (red arc). This leads to unwanted teleports sometimes.
Teleport arc graphic could use polish-- see other VR apps and games for examples. (SteamVR, HL:Alyx, etc.)
Consider audio improvements to match valid vs. invalid teleport targets.
Teleport arc allows going through walls and other surfaces. Ideally, the arc would be occluded by walls, videos, etc. Perhaps the arc could 'reflect' off surfaces to target the nearest valid location.
No way to teleport on mobile 2d screens (only pinch as of this writing).
