mame games don't start #212

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Configure mame collection
2. import games
3. try to launch

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When I launch a game I see the % counter, the screen change resolution for few 
seconds and then all go back to roms list.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
kodibuntu (kodi 14.2 helix)
mame installed via apt-get: 0.159
RCB: 2.1.2
