Unnecessary entry in Glossary #16

Open Huggenguggen opened 1 year ago

The definition of Mainstream OS in the glossary is not necessary nor helpful as it only appears in the DG exactly 2 times, one of which is in the glossary.

Not only that, but there is no link to the glossary the one time it is mentioned.

Team's Response

Rejected because there is no clear definition of what OSes are "Mainstream OS", and it could possible change with time. Hence, indicating the exact platforms we are referring to when we use "Mainstream OS" would be helpful to the reader of the DG.

Reason for disagreement: I think you misunderstood me, when I said the definition is not necessary nor helpful, what I meant was that you could simply replace the one instance where you use the term Mainstream OS with it's definition that you defined it as in the glossary. (i.e. the sentence with mainstream os in it would now have windows, linux and mac) As an example.
