Although Ohloh cannot be depended upon we do need to investigate why it is
reporting that there are 54 GPL files in Simal.

Would running Fossology against the code help?: http://www.fossology.org/

I've requested a demo account on the FOSSology servers, hopefully that will
enable us to quickly answer the question of whether it will be useful.

I've analysed the whole source tree using FOSSOlogy. There are no GPL files in
our code according to that system.

There are a few false positives, such as the doapcreator being flagged as GPL,
MIT and who nows what else simply because it mentions them in code. But there
are certainly no GPL files in reality.

All in all FOSSology is a really nice tool and we should look at using it for
due-diligence of projects in Simal.
