Child care subsidy #140

Open MatthewKatzen opened 6 years ago

MatthewKatzen commented 6 years ago

Child Care Benefit stopped on 1 July 2018 and is now the Child Care Subsidy. https://www.humanservices.gov.au/individuals/services/centrelink/child-care-benefit https://www.education.gov.au/child-care-subsidy-1

Main differences are that it now has more income bracket reductions, whereas before there was an income max cap. Also there is now an activity test, where the hours of subsidised child care is linked to the number of hours the parents work.

OK call it childcare_subsidy: focus on the new payment.

There's also the Additional Child Care Subsidy which applies to grandparents, students, and people in financial hardship. https://www.humanservices.gov.au/individuals/services/centrelink/additional-child-care-subsidy

Do you want a separate function for it?

Ah no thanks: just the principal payment
