To fit in nicely with the Hugo framework, the widgets only work when using the Widget Page type such as on the homepage.
The Docs page type is intended for documentation and online courses/tutorials.
What is your use case for using widgets on Docs pages?
I'm using docs
for book like material. Book like material has something about the authors so I was thinking to copy over the authors widget.

Hello! I would also like to use widgets in different parts of the project. Not only on the main page. Will such an option be available?
I may be missing something, but it doesn't look like one can use widgets (widgets pages) in the docs section. Is this a correct understanding of the state of things in the theme?
