Portfolio widget vertical spacing is boken in Firefox #2258

Closed johnnyvenom closed 3 years ago

johnnyvenom commented 3 years ago

There is an issue with the layout of pages that use the portfolio widget. The vertical spacing of the items is not respected below the first couple rows of items, so farther down the page the items collide. This is most evident with the card layout, though the problem persists with the other layout options as well. (see screenshot)

If the browser window is resized the tiles reflow and the spacing corrects itself and everything is fine, but next page load the same thing happens. This is happening with Firefox (on Mac and on Android), but if displays fine in Safari or Chrome.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. In Firefox, go to a webpage that uses the portfolio widget and contains several items (10 or more).

Expected behavior

Appropriate padding between items should reserve clean spacing and layout when the page loads.

I think this is a Firefox issue, as it works flawlessly in other browsers. See this discussion of the same issue: https://github.com/wowchemy/wowchemy-hugo-modules/discussions/2231
