I switched back from Debian to W10 on my intel laptop, and the SSD is not big enough to accommodate a dual-boot comfortably, I'll look when I have a bit of extra budget to get another m.2 drive or something. Otherwise I can also borrow my sister's laptop during the w-e, since that runs Ubuntu.

I installed mesa-vulkan-drivers and vulkan-tools, if that helps. Check for the following things too:

Unfortunately I have same packages and JVM/JDK. Seem that device.getCapabilities().vkGetImageMemoryRequirements2 is 0 (NULL). But device.getCapabilities().vkGetImageMemoryRequirements2KHR and vkGetImageMemoryRequirements have valid addresses.

device.capabilities.VK_KHR_get_memory_requirements2 == true. device.capabilities.Vulkan10 == true. device.capabilities.Vulkan11 == false.

vkGetImageMemoryRequirements2 is in section with comment //VK11. I guess it might be connected somehow. :)

Right, I was using the VK11 variant when only require Vulkan 1.0 in the backend initialization code. ( I once required 1.1 but moved back to 1.0 as I don't use anything 1.1 exclusive, and what's not in 1.0 exists as a KHR extension. I looked over the code for all the VK11 reference, but evidently I missed some. This will be an easy fix! Does the game run fine for you now ? You can make a PR if you want.

I guess the only real remaining question is, why does your Debian install only exposes apiVersion = 1.0.90 while mine clearly says 1.1.90 ( talking about the apiVersion for GPU0 mind you, not for the vulkan instance, and yes the two are seperate ! )

Seems like that but I still can't get the picture from the videos. For example, /weather 0.8 should start rain. But I see only fog. :(

Yup, that's what I was talking about when I said there was still missing functionality (particle systems in particular). The previous renderer hacked in reflections and whatnot, I'd rather make them more proper this time arround. You should open another issue if you want to discuss that though
