Thank you all for your incredible support and interest in our project. We've received lots of inquiries regarding a demo or the source code. We want to assure you that we are actively working on preparing the demo and code for public release. Although we cannot commit to a specific release date at this very moment, please be certain that the intention to provide access to both the demo and our source code is firm.

Our goal is to not only share the code but also ensure that it is robust and user-friendly, transitioning it from an academic prototype to a more polished version that provides a seamless experience. We appreciate your patience as we take the necessary steps to clean, document, and test the code to meet these standards.

Thank you for your understanding and continuous support.

Thank you so much. This is really exciting. Don't pressure yourselves and do what's right

Thank you!

woct0rdho commented 8 months ago

Thanks but don't aim for perfect from the beginning. An academic prototype is great for a lot of us, and we're willing to help you polish it into a product

fjdhgkkg commented 8 months ago

Can't wait to use this for porn

KingProcrastinator commented 8 months ago

Clay animation got a whole lot easier.

jeffywilburn commented 8 months ago

Great project, keep it up guys, lets make future of ai.

Koningsbruggen commented 8 months ago

looks amazing

jdagdelen commented 8 months ago

Perfect is the enemy of good. Releasing research code doesn't preclude you from improving it and making a user-friendly version. It would greatly benefit the research community for you to release what you have and at least let us verify your results and explore ourselves!

We're not scared or judgemental of messy research code. We write it ourselves! :)

MacroChip commented 8 months ago

So you have a separate, private repo? Can we get read only access to that? I don't really understand. Congrats on the good work!

oneil512 commented 8 months ago

Excited for this!

Xodarap commented 8 months ago

Thanks for the update! Is there somewhere we can sign up to be notified when you release the source code?

awesome work !! 🚀

continue-revolution commented 8 months ago

I will almost certainly support it as soon as possible in my A1111 extension https://github.com/continue-revolution/sd-webui-animatediff/ since in the paper it mentioned that it used AnimateDiff, if the release date is after 12/6/2023 when I'm done with my university stuff.

Akki-0 commented 8 months ago

Thank you very much!

AllenEdgarPoe commented 8 months ago

This is Great, and plausible when using AnimateDiff. Wonderful Work!

Id like to help building frontend UI for this.

youtube-jocoding commented 8 months ago

Thank you!

LuluViBritannia commented 8 months ago

You might want to be aware that a lot of guys stole your presentation video on Youtube. Typing Animate Anyone right now, you are overshadowed by a lot of fakes... some of them have spam links in their description.

Anyway, we all love your work already! If it truly works as intended, a lot of people will fulfill their dreams of making their own 2D animations. And of course, this will change the industries forever!

EKI-INDRADI commented 8 months ago

awesome, i think such as stable diffusion controlnet batch but this is version very stable. . . OMG

Please consider deleting your accounts and withdrawing from the tech industry. this is beyond disgusting. there's no legitimate reason for this technology to exist

Hi there, No.

Thanks Randy, participant of this thread

mrshmllow commented 8 months ago

I have reported this repository for enabling harm and sexual harassment and hopefully GitHub will take action against you as well. Beyond benefiting exclusively corporations, this technology's only use will be for revenge porn, blackmail, identity theft and CSEM and should NEVER be made open source

Randy, Reacting to yourself with a thumbs up emoji is honestly quite embarrassing. I have reported this repository for enabling harm and sexual harassment and hopefully GitHub will take action against you as well. Hi there. Please look at tools such as Deepfacelab. They are used to generate artificial deepfakes of people, as well as porn. Even though that's not their original intend, nor is it the repo's purpose. Yet the repo has been up for years.

The purpose of this repo is to believably animate people or characters from a single image, possibly for good use cases like v-tubers, reanimating old relatives who have recently died, video games and so much more, yet you choose to think only about the worst.

I'm sorry, but this repo will probably not be deleted, as its purpose is to reanimate people from a single image.

Thanks, Randy, participant of this thread.

Ps. Please just leave me alone. I wanna get back to work.

mrshmllow commented 8 months ago

Possibly for good use cases? POSSIBLY? These cost cutting measures do not nearly justify the harm it will cause.

Should you really be defending CSEM Machine 2.0 while on the clock?

Nor does the harm of what tacotron2 can do, what Elevenlabs zero shot voice cloning can do, nor what image synthesis can do, etc. there's a million examples. If you only think about the bad, you don't think. This doesn't even do face tracking from what I have seen, it cannot be more harmful than something like SadTalker. If you have actual good arguments/complaints. Respond. If not, leave me alone.

mrshmllow commented 8 months ago

The pre existence of something harmful does not morally justify the creation of something that does the same thing.

"Waaahhh... Open source technological development for people bad! Closed source, strictly censored, monopolized, heavily biased towards wokeness/ political-correctness, monetized subscription-based-model at cutthroating price AI technology by big corporations good!"

It's almost as if evil people will always try to use everything for malicious purposes, or that if it's not those people pushing forward the boundaries of AI technology, someone else inevitably will or something.

Oh right, right, the big corporations, those that spew all the sweet-honey words of promises to "regulate" AI technology for "social safety & well-being", will totally not exploit their exclusive ownership to certain technology breakthroughs to maximize the crap out of the profits they can earn from it.

Damn, curse you all the people who invented internet, you allowed the pedos to spread CPs! You people are to blame for this! The internet, thus, should've never existed at all!... Or maybe we need an ultimate centralized entity that holds absolute power over the entire worldwide internet to make sure no such things ever appear on it!

No problem buddy ^^. At least it entertains us while we wait for the code release!

@mrshmllow why is fake revenge porn a bad thing? The more fake revenge porn there are the less people are going to take it seriously. In the limit, revenge porn will stop being an instrument of influence at all and that is a big W. The same probably goes for blackmail if I understand it correctly. Identity theft and CSEM are already much easier with other approaches so this tool doesn't change anything in this regard
