I think we have a better chance uniting and resolving all world conflicts before ever seeing code from this developer.

While I appreciate the whole "cleaning up your code" thing, you've been holding onto it for SIX MONTHS, had you released it right away other people could have cleaned it up and made it 4x better by now and you might have gained some respect from the community rather than squandering it.
