Thank you for the feedback. Yes, at the moment there is no fully working and convenient touch support in Label Studio. The task to implement it is not an easy one, but we have this in mind and plan to tackle this issue at some point.

Touch is working for me on Firefox 98. Touch does not work on Chromium 99 (instead it scroll the window).

Environment (server)

OS: Linux Docker Label Studio Version: 1.4

Environment (client)

OS: Linux 5.16.14-1-MANJARO

I had the same issue.

System: Lenovo Thinkpad X1 with Windows 10. Label studio: v1.4.1

With Firefox 99 the pen stopped working for brush annotations. I downgraded to Firefox Extended Support Release and this fixed the pen issue.

@fcossio does it work with Chrome?

fcossio commented 2 years ago

I tried Chrome only when the pen stopped working and it didn't fix the issue. I don't have the computer anymore since it was given to the person doing the annotations so I can't check the chrome version for now.

Hi, just wanted to pop this up in the stack of potentially important features. Doing annotations with the mouse or trackpad is not possible in my case. Today I had to downgrade Firefox for the 7th time to v91 for the app to keep working. I would highly appreciate the pen working on new releases of any browser.

@fcossio Hi, is it possible for you to switch and check this PR? It would help us in testing. https://github.com/heartexlabs/label-studio/pull/2822

fcossio commented 1 year ago

Hi, thanks for taking a look at this! I will have access to the computers with touchscreen/pen again until Dec 13th. I'll make sure to test and give feedback if the PR is still open then. If there's anything related I can do in the meantime, I'll be happy to assist you 😊

Anyone tried to use a tablet with a capacitive pen on labelstudio

GineBE commented 4 weeks ago

Hi, I've been trying to use label-studio with a Wacom One (with display). I've found out that by disabling Windows Ink in the Wacom Center app, the pen works perfectly on newer versions of browsers as well as older versions (versions in the above comments tested).

Tested and OK: Microsoft Edge v123.0.2420.97 Google Chrome v124.0.6367.61 Mozilla Firefox v91 Mozilla Firefox v98 Mozilla Firefox v125.0.1
