Can we add basemaps and label images loading them on top of the basemaps? #6070

I want to label few objects on the ground using satellite imagery, it would be helpful if I had a basemap underneath the tif file and then i label the features, can someone let me know if there is a support of basemaps in LabelStudio?

Hi @Harsh00988 , unfortunately we don't have tif support in Label Studio as far as I know, or support for basemaps. Here are the formats we do support - would you be able to convert to one of these formats in order to support your labeling usecase? https://labelstud.io/guide/tasks.html#Types-of-data-you-can-import-into-Label-Studio

Hello @jombooth , For correctly annotating the images and verifying them if they are actually what we think it is, we need basemaps. Is there a workaround or a way that I could make changes in the code and give an option to add basemap layer and support for tif (any format that has georeferencing).
