Umm you guys should really tell me how to play the game and what is singleplayer and stuff... please also do tell me how to play multiplayer

the game freezes when i hit multiplayer on my pc. is it supposed to be on lan and the other guy's pc with the program open or is there a way to add that person?? i couldn't find any info in the code
