Deleted my branch and merged to my main. but added that part you said.

I don't understand the archive part because i haven't had that problem yet but if it makes sense then... Ship it!

These files will only populate to the user if it doesn't exist. Therefore when users want to update the theme, only the Configs get populated and not the Source / archives. So exporting the variable overwrites the target of the "Source" effectively updating gtk/icon/cursors/etc
