The Crypto Currency community is well known for the generosity and giving back to the community in a form of fund raising event. from time to time you will see a group of people from the cryptocurrency community rally to achieve a common goal. some of the reasons are they want to help the project that they are supporting to have funds for exchange listing, or for project promotion. but from time to time, you will see a group of people rally just to give back not only to the community but to the society.

On January, 2014, a fundraiser was established by the Dogecoin community to raise $50,000 for the Jamaican Bobsled Team, which had qualified for, but could not afford to go to the Sochi Winter Olympics. and On March 25, 2014, the Dogecoin community successfully raised 67.8 million Dogecoins (around $55,000 at the time) in an effort to sponsor NASCAR driver Josh Wise at Talladega Superspeedway.

On late 2017, The Bitcoin Community donated 102 Bitcoins (roughly $1.6 million dollars at that time) to Andreas Antonopoulos, Andreas Antonopoulos, is a well know evangelist of bitcoin. He gives speeches and write books to teach people what is bitcoin and the technology behind it. the community led the donation after finding out that Antonopoulos had been working for free for years.

Bitcoiners also paid off the land at the homeless outreach center, Satoshi Forest. Alongside this, during the hurricane that wreaked havoc on Texas on 2017, someone gave 10 BTC to help the 30,000 residents that are forced out of their homes.

Another case of generosity is The Pineapple Fund. The pineapple fund is a mysterious entity that donates to charity in the form of Bitcoin. The Pineapple Fund has given money to different charities including Watsi ($1Mn), The Water Project ($1Mn), the Electronic Frontier Foundation ($1Mn), the Bitgive Foundation ($500K), MAPS psychedelic studies ($1Mn), and the Open BSD Foundation ($500K).

What if we build a gofundme dapp that focuses on giving back to society, to help those in need. what i am thinking is a dapp that focuses on people who needs financial medical assistance. like people can sign-up,apply and site their medical condition and expenses with the neccessary documents, then they get reviewed by a team to make sure they filter the fraudulent accounts.

People who visit the app can see the approved cases and can utilize the power of snowflake and can donate Hydro or Dai or other forms of cryptocurrencies. This could be big and also needs a big team and also, i dont know about the legal aspect of something like this. but these kinds of dapps could not only have an impact on society, but an app like this could actually help save someones life.
