Problem Statement
Hydroponics systems like NFT need frequent water changes every few weeks, as the water might get saturated with a certain nutrient that the plant doesn't consume, causing it to show higher than usual EC readings. This is just one of the many reasons for periodically replacing water. Replacing water very frequently will result in water wastage and waiting for long periods of time will deteriorate plant growth.
Solution
We need to identify the right time to replace water and notify the user. Finding the optimum time will allow the farmer to save money on water usage while also growing well-nourshied plants.
