Not receiving notifications for new DM's #1575

I've noticed I'm not receiving notifications on my desktop for DM's. There is no red dot adjacent to the messaging icon. I have to manually check DM's to see if there are new messages. New messages still appear as bolded to distinguish which have been read/unread.
